World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (November 18-24)
11 Mart 2025

Antimicrobial resistance is recognized as one of the most serious threats facing today's health systems. World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, which is celebrated every year between 18-24 November, is organized under the leadership of the World Health Organization (WHO) to draw attention to this global problem and raise awareness.

The theme for 2024 has been determined by WHO as “Educate, Advocate, Act Now”.

The theme color, light blue, symbolizes the coming together of societies to show solidarity on this critical issue and to create a common awareness towards a solution.

Although antibiotics are life-saving miracle drugs, their misuse and overuse accelerates the development of resistance. We can all contribute to solving this global problem by using these medicines correctly and only on the advice of healthcare professionals.

The time to act is now!
Let's take responsibility in the fight against antimicrobial resistance and protect our future.

Remember: Unconscious use of antibiotics causes harm, while awareness saves lives.
